I'm a quiet guy, I prefer to be alone, but I can handle small groups of people. I'm not the most outgoing person you'll ever meet, so you're not likely to bump into me at a club, bar, or big party. I'm trying to come out of my shell and learn to get out more. In fact I've met some friends on here who actually have managed to get me out of the apartment for reasons other than work. I may be shy and introverted as all hell, but I do still enjoy human company sometimes.

Did I forget to mention that I'm a gamer nerd, I love RPGs, WoW (World of Warcraft for those of you who are uneducated), even try to do some more "traditional" non-console gaming, if you get my meaning. I have been known to get lost in any number of games for hours on end, often forgetting to even eat 2 of the 3 meals in a day. I feel I need to point out that I'm a bit of a picky gamer... I just don't play certain kinds of games, I mostly stick to RPGs and the occasional action or fighting game. I own a PS2, PSP, DS, and an Xbox 360, and of course game on my PC too. I'm looking to get back into table-top gaming since my work schedule has left me with less than preferable time to do so. Hopefully with a couple new friends thrown into my circle I can get back in again.. I've got a friend at work who is talking about putting together a group. With us having the same days off I think I'll be able to get back to throwing the old dice around again sooner rather than later. Just waiting on more details on what's going on there.

One thing about me that may or may not be obvious in these paragraphs is that I am not ashamed of who I am. I am pretty much an open book, and I'm not going to hide how I am, or what I like, just to attract someone. So if my introverted gamer personality isn't one you can handle, then I'm sorry to say you probably wouldn't get along with me at all.

I like just hanging out with friends I can laugh with. I hate people who interrupt or are constantly bringing the mood down. I love going to movies and reading books. Guess I like to see how other people view the world. Sadly enough, I really like to work and hate not having things to do (except on my days off). I like being in College Station because there's always something going on. It might not be that exciting, but it's something. I'm usually fairly quiet, unless I get around certain friends and then I can be extremely silly, some might say crazy, but what do they know?

Shy birding nut looking to meet someone special who shares some common interests with me while also teaching me many new things as well. Some things I enjoy doing are hiking, camping, playing hockey,and listening to music. I also enjoy watching BBC nature series. No one can narrate a nature show like David Attenborough. Would like to get outdoors more in the future. Took a short backpacking trip in the Smokey Mountains this previous summer and really enjoyed it. Would like to meet someone who enjoys doing those sort of things as well so I could have some company on the longer trips I hope to take in the future. But short camping/hiking trips would also be enjoyable as well. I am also a huge fan of Monty Python, both the television series and the movies. I also enjoy reading quite a bit as well and make weekly trips to the library. Looking into getting into decent physical shape again and will be working out on a consistent basis soon. I believe physical fitness is important because it keeps a person healthy and allows them to do the things they enjoy the most. I am also looking to getting back into playing hockey again soon but need to get into decent physical shape to do it first, I believe anything that is worth doing to a certain extent needs to be done right or I won't be able to enjoy myself properly.

At the moment I am currently working and deciding what else to possibly do with my life. Not really sure where I'm going to go from here but I'm sure I'll end up somewhere interesting eventually.

Always the toughest part!--how do you summarzie your life and personality? Easy--one word "pretty darn awesome"...well that's three words, but I'm not in a math grad program. I'm a Marylander down in College Station for grad school. I have a passion for history and languages, so grad school has proved to be a perfect fit. I have an abiding sense of humor (often sarcastic) and don't take myself too seriously (that's what my studies are for!). I love the water and water sports, and am a total beach bum. I own a boat, and have gotten lost once, and caught in a storm--it was a lot of fun after the fact! Like most people, I loathe self-evaluation. Writing about myself seems a tad narcissistic, but oh well! I like to make people laugh, I like being made to laugh. I grew up on Star Trek, and my whole family is addicted. As a result, I love the concept of space travel, and am studying aerospace engineering (taking the scenic route to graduation!) at Texas A&M. I want to build space ships, and establish a vast interstellar empire. How's that for narcissistic? Since Star Trek stopped airing (good shows any way...), I've taken an interest in Stargate SG-1. It's pretty much amazing. I also mess around with computers, and usually have to clean up the messes other folk make. Strangely, it doesn't really irk me, and I get a twisted pleasure out of a well-functioning computer.

Howdy, I am jaide! I was raised in The Woodlands/Spring are but I currently attend blinn but in a semester i will offically be a proud member of the fightin' aggie class of 2012! Short Bio:
I am originally from New Orleans. I know the immediate misconceptions are that I was a Katrina victim and have a strong accent. but neither is true. I was one of the few in my family not to have been greatly affected by the storm, and (unfortunately) I am also one of the few that has never developed an accent. I have great pride in the city I still consider my one true Home. So dont joke about it!

I have lived in Arlington, Texas since i was 11. (my family moved to be closer to my sick aunt) I went to too many elementary schools for me to count. some private, some public. the only school i spent more than two years at was Juan Seguin High School. until i started there i was almost completely socially inept. (because i was never in a school long enough to learn how to really make friends and i was kind of a nerd so everyone either hated or ignored me) I still find at times that can be surrounded by people and yet completely alone, but it doesnt bother me. I enjoy being alone, though sometimes it is nice to have someone to talk to. so if i seem to withdraw at certain times its nothing personal. i just need some alone time.

I'm a senior bioenvironmental science major at Texas A&M, but I'm originally from Dallas. On the surface I look like your average 23 yr old male college kid, however, there's a lot more going on inside! I recently finished my PhD in neuroscience, and no, people don't call me doctor even though technically I am one. When I'm not holed up in the lab, I love to write and cook. My life in a nutshell:

I love to be busy. I've always enjoyed working with children and hold a special place in my heart for working with children with special needs. I am the youngest of three children. My immediate family is in Dallas and my oldest brother and his family live in Tennessee. I have two nephews and a niece and I don't see them nearly enough. I hope to travel the world one day and live an eventful life. I can see myself living abroad but will likely always return to Texas. I love animals. One day when my life is more settled, I would love a cat and a boxer. Above all, I love to laugh. Life can be serious enough so I do my best to make light of things and enjoy life.

I love piercings a lot and I have my septum (5/1/08), tragus (8/13/09), and smilie (9/19/09) all pierced. Both my lobes are double pierced (12/28/05) and I used to have my industrial (9/19/09) but the top ripped out so I only have the bottom hole. The most recent piercing I have gotten is two dermal anchors on my hips (2/5/10) and I absolutely adore them. So I have 10 piercings in all. I'm a proud Aggie and I love my friends here more than I can stand. I've never been outside of Texas except to Mexico quite a few times, Florida thrice, and Colorado once. I'm really upset about this. Once I graduate from college, I'm hoping to see the world. I've recently gotten into cooking. I enjoy it a lot, and apparently I'm pretty damn good at it. Only problem is I'm pretty picky about what I like to eat, which limits what I can cook.

Guten tag. I'm Jonathan. Not real sure where to start, but here goes...

I'm a pretty sarcastic guy - A lot of people find me funny, but I think I can be a bit of an acquired taste at times. The people that I do wind up as friends, we tend to have extremely close, long lasting friendships.

I love being able to kick back to watch TV with a glass of scotch at night. My most watched TV is somewhere between Comedy Central, the History Channel, the Discovery Channel and CNN. I have a near insatiable curiosity and I love learning new things, so in addition to vegging out on the boob tube, I enjoy reading.

I always need music on - I always tend to find myself listening to music from the 80's and 90's. Today's alternative doesn't really do much for me, but there are a few bands out there.

I watch a lot of movies - I don't get out to the theater that often, but I try. Movies like Gardenstate, Lost in Translation and American Beauty are what really do it for me. Kevin Smith is awesome. I love his movies. Not a big fan of chick flicks but I can tolerate them if they're good (That being said, 10 Things I Hate About You is one of my all time favorite films).

Personality wise I'm pretty laid back about life. I'm not much of a go-getter, but I do always love trying new things and experience something different. I'm open minded to all kinds of lifestyles and pretty much feel like people can do whatever they want in life without having other people or the government interfering in it so long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

I am originally from Charlottesville, VA but grew up all over the US since my dad was in the Air Force. Attended The University of Virginia for undergraduate dual-majoring in Architecture and Urban Planning. I worked in an architecture firm for a year but decided Auto-CAD 8 hours a day was no good so I decided to go back to graduate school for a Masters in Land and Real Estate Development. I am a true Texan at heart, playing baseball and football in HS and the combination of Texas/Virginia Gentleman. I love to have fun and go out to bars, parties and clubs. When I graduate from my program I plan on taking a job in Real Estate Development and want to do urban redevelopment. I have been told I have 'purty blue eyes and curly hair' from a fellow San Marcos River tuber, haha. I am really goofy once you get to know me but also am very motivate and ambitious. I have been told many times that I am the dumbest smart kid people know. I just got a puppy about 6 months ago, a little puggle named Flitch. He is a lot of trouble but the cuteness makes up for it.

When I'm not insanely busy with classes, I love watching and playing football, camping, hiking and just being outside in general, as long as it's warm. I'm not opposed to a little skiing, but I'm definitely a fan of warmer climates in general. As far as day-to-day stuff goes, I have just enough time to work out and squeeze in a little tennis and trapshooting once in a while.

I just graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and am starting my Masters at Texas A&M. While I'm thrilled about never having to deal with 100 inches of snow again, I really miss living in a (relatively) big city and being near my friends.

I'm really adventurous and I'll take any opportunity I can to travel, try exotic foods or just meet some new people. I probably don't get out as much as the average college kid, but when I do I try to make up for lost time. There aren't a whole lot of people or things in the world I'm afraid of; irrational fears and my line of work really don't go well together.

I'm smart, extroverted, intense, and witty (or at least I try to be). I'm at a point of fluidity in my life and am interested in forming new patterns and new relationships in my life.

I was born and raised in Lafayette,LA , but now I'm in Bryan/College station going for my Master's degree in geology at Texas A&M. The only problem is that I hardly know anyone (outside of school), so hopefully this will allow me to branch out.

I like all the usual things that people my age like, going to the movies, hanging out with friends, blah blah (insert generic teenage/young adult activities).

It's really hard to define yourself through a profile on a web page. You have no idea if someone is lying, and it's hard to point out anything about your personality without sounding arrogant, so I'll try not to do that.

As far as other activities, I like camping/hiking/backpacking, and the outdoors in general. (I guess that comes with being a geologist). I am starting to become interested in cooking, although it's hard to find motivation cooking for myself, when I know I'll have to eat left overs for days.

I have fun doing completely pointless things just because, and I'm totally the type of person that on road trip would see a sign and say "World's biggest yarn ball?!?!? 50 miles?! Let's go!".

I don't really let many things get to me, so it takes a lot to make me upset. What's the point in getting mad over something you can't change?

I try to stay in shape, and take good care of my body now, so that it can take good care of me later. (Does that make any sense? Probably not).

I got married young (19) and that has influenced almost everything that has lead to where I am today. One thing I always make sure of though, is that it doesn't change who I am. I don't worry about the things that I can not change. I learn from every one an every situation around me. I have worked from office to the production lines in four or five different fields, an have mastered,been certified or have become first class in them. With the last job that I held paying over thirty-five dollars an hour. I have pulled myself away from that to consentrate more on enjoying life and what it has to offer. I now play a little music, collect music and movies in dvd format. I travel a little mostly in the USA. There is so much to see here that people over look. Can the grass in Ireland be any greener then that of Kentucky. Can the Alps be any more beautiful then our own Rocky or Appalachian Mountains, I don't think so. I love all that long walks in the moonlight, kissing on the beach and cuddling on the couch stuff, too...just like you said in your profile ;-}. I also like a man who can cook (and not just outside on the grill), clean up after himself, and can handle the disappointment when he can't watch the game because one of the kids has to go to a birthday party. I love to go camping (real camping in a tent), fishing (but I never seem to get the time to do that anymore), and I actually do like football (I will watch the Cowboys or the Aggies, but I would rather go to a high school football game) or baseball. I would rather not watch sports on TV.

I like computers, but am not a computer geek. I usually find out that I know more than I thought I did about technological gadgets. Outside of school I'm all over the place in what I like to do. Favorite things: scuba diving, hiking, cooking, the beach, new york city, the smell of new books, travel, organics, gardening, dogs, counting change and other equally ocd behaviors.
